Tourism Information
Throughout the Algarve there are many tourist information offices (often signed just Turismo). You should never be far from one.
For your information there are offices situated at:
Lagos, Tavira, Portim�o, Arma��o de Pera,Silves, Carvoeiro, Olh�o,Albufeira, Quarteira, Loul�, Faro, and Vila Real.
Lots (if not all) of tourist offices stock free information brochures about Algarve tourism (even maps of the local area). They're a great way to discover 'what's going on' locally during your time there.
You can also purchase local publications that tell you much about the region's tourism and its everyday goings on. One recommendation is the "Algarve Good Life".
However, many restaurants and caf�s give away handy local maps. Although the contain adverts for local businesses and services they are often better and easier to understand than some of the official' versions.
